WHAT: Why "Mystical"?

"In the garden of the senses lies a pathway to the spirit."

Conscious touch can lead both giver and receiver into a deep connection with the heart and soul. This is a weekend of guided relaxation to deepen your connection with yourself and other men. It is based on the understanding (from Yoga and Tantra) that the body is the temple of the spirit. Our ordinary "computer mind" operates by analysis: by creating distinctions and separations [up/down, black/white, good/bad, me/you, us/them]. This leads to erroneous and painful feelings of isolation. We will spend the weekend sharing pleasurable practices that use the senses to take us out of our "computer mind" and into our body and into our heart, which is the place of connection and unity. You will be able to use these practices in your daily life to renew your connection with your own heart and soul, and enrich your intimacy with others.

SCHEDULE: You will have the deepest experience if you do the entire weekend. You may choose to participate in just the parts that are most appealing to you, depending on your time, budget, and interest.
The mornings will consist of easy movement drawn from yoga, tai chi and dance, as well as guided imagery/meditation and toning/chant. These tools will help you manage stress, and prepare you to share healing touch.
The afternoons will encompass touch rituals which focus on nurturing and creating safety and trust. You will learn ways of using touch to care for people with whom you do not have an erotic relationship. This massage is done on tables, covered.
The [optional] evening sessions are the most intimate: you will learn how to honour a man's entire body in a sacred, caring way [clothing is optional, and your boundaries are totally respected].

Please note the "prerequisites" below; the later sessions are built on earlier ones, and the Sunday sessions require taking the corresponding Saturday session.
